Just finished Vietnam Hightlights tour-was excellent Glory Hoi An Hotel Vietnam

Hiya, this was my second tour with Contiki-the initial getting Egypt which was wonderful. There was a great post earlier summarizing day by day account of the tour but couldn’t discover it-will add my synopsis to support you out. Our tour manager Johnny was wonderful-planned further excursions b/c we had lots of downtime ie before and soon after flights. Hotels were good and bad-hot water for 5 minutes only and a few beds difficult as rock. So cold from March 21-30-overcast and rainy, most absolutely everyone got sick. Coach tour of city-post office (set value shopping T shirts) and Notre Dame church. We also visited Vietnam War museum-so sad. Late flight so Johnny planned added check out to traditional amusement park-deserted but water park was entertaining and we rented the golf cart to drive around the park ahead of heading to airport to Nha Trang. (Restaurant outside the amusement park was low-cost but terrible-if you should go, order veggies.) Swimming in bay-nice but again cold for us. Hotel exchanged money for 20,900 VND by way of credit card for a single traveler. 3. I think was Hue-so cold, we descended on the greatest North Face shop (Sports AC) close to the hotel and purchased them out (J/k) but our group photo had absolutely everyone wearing a jacket. Knock-offs but cannot beat – USD. They do not accept credit card. Much better than Hanoi in which you have to literally scrounge close to for hours searching though racks of outdoor vendors and genuinely only had bags and double the price tag. Citadel and Palace were nice. Cyclo ride was ok. Suggest purchasing or bringing mask so you are not tasting smog and smoke as you ride. I was literally gagging and begging my cyclo rider to take me back to hotel as I felt like I was suffocating. DMZ bar on corner was excellent and their Honey BBQ pork ribs had been wonderful. Best hotel and breakfast-Asia hotel. Dinner at local spot run by deaf and mute owners? was ok.

four. Hoi An Save laundry for this place. Mr Giau charges inexpensive and let us ride his bicycles for totally free the initial day. Optional kayak morning after at 0800 not a very good idea as every person was hung more than and waste of cash(no shows) but those who produced it said it was stunning. 7. I left the group here to stay in Ha Extended Bay on Cat Ba island and go rock climbing with SloPony tours-English speaking and American rates but they are the location to go to for information. Close to the corner from them or your hotel will arrange transfer back to Hanoi for only 190,000 VND or USD approx. Suggest staying in Hanoi couple days additional to check out Sapa village on your very own to see cultural stuff as Contiki was busy packing, bussing and flying and visiting largely westernized areas. I do not consider I missed much as the 4 hours bus ride back to Hanoi and checking in the hotel with hung more than men and women ought to have been rather sedate.
