Zi” but if your friend or family member saying “Hi” or “hey”. Same with “Sie”, “Ihnen” and “du”, “dir”. Well, what if I go to Switzerland for one year. I’ve never met my family to stay in, but my mother and have mailed each other. I will stay with them for one year so when I meet them at the airport for the first time I say “hey” or “gr? Zi” or what? BTW I’m Swiss, so I speak the words and everything and speak German. I thought I liver here in America. It’s not as complicated questions best answer.
